As you can probably tell from this website, my youtube channel, soundcloud and facebook pages and related sites, I have a deep love for all things synth and ambient/electronica. However, researching, hunting for, acquiring and purchasing synths is a very expensive undertaking, especially longterm.
I am not a rich man by any means… yet over the past 2 years, I’ve spent a lot of my own money (I estimate upwards of $10K) to obtain and demo various synths via my Youtube channel, invested countless hours into creating ambient music for listeners worldwide, and attempt to contribute to synthesizer and ambient electronica communities as much as I can. I do all of this for the love of synth, ambient electronica, and to share these musical creations with all of you.
Roland Jupiter 8
That said — if there is one analog synthesizer that I would give almost anything to own, it is the beautiful and incomparable Roland Jupiter 8:
The beauty of its sounds knows no bounds, and I frequently wish upon a star that I may one day obtain and play this incredible synthesizer which thus far, has remained financially unobtainable for me.
With eBay market prices fetching upwards of $7,000-$10,000 USD and due to its relative rarity (~3,000 in the world, none of which have ever appeared for sale within my city in western Canada), it has been near impossible to find locally, let alone purchase one of these great musical instruments at a reasonable price.
Why I need your support
I am not one to usually ask for financial donations, but in the case of the Roland Jupiter 8, I feel I simply have no other alternative.
Due to it’s rarity and eBay costs of $7,000+, the Roland Jupiter 8 is simply too expensive for me to afford at current market value.
Without any outside help, it is unlikely I will ever be able to acquire one of these incredible analog beauties, to cherish and create music with, and share it’s wonderful sounds with you, other listeners and synth fans worldwide.
Again, I’m not usually one to ask for outside help, but if you wish to help me in my quest to obtain this beautiful synthesizer, please feel free to donate towards this goal.
To donate, all you need to do is click the “Donate” button below. Feel free to contribute any amount you wish.
Thank you all in advance for your help, understanding and any contributions towards this goal.
I sincerely look forward to the day when I will be able to create more ambient music and share it with you all, using a Roland Jupiter 8 itself.
PS: as an alternative, if you are selling a Roland Jupiter 8 in good condition at a REASONABLE price (and hopefully located on the west coast in Vancouver B.C. and surrounding cities, Bellingham, Seattle or even Portland), please contact me here: http://synth4ever.com/contact-synth4ever/
